Dr. Frank Hieronymi

Background:
Dr. Frank Hieronymi was born in Berlin in 1962. He studied physics at the Technical University Berlin and received his PhD in applied physics on the topic of photodetectors for optical communication systems in 1994. He is with SHF since 1995 and started his career as development engineer, working on the development of broadband amplifiers, optical transmitters and receivers as well as bit error test systems. He became a member of the executive board of SHF in October 1999, where he held the position of the COO, responsible for production and R&D.
Currently, Dr. Hieronymi is in charge of the above mentioned areas and acts as the speaker of the executive board and CEO.
Dr. Lars Klapproth

Background:
Dr. Lars Klapproth was born in Berlin in 1967. He studied electrical engineering at the Technical University Berlin and received his PhD in the field of microwave techniques in 1997. From 1997 until 1999 he was working as development engineer at Nanotron GmbH in Berlin. During that time he was designing analog circuits. He started his career at SHF in 1999 and worked on amplifier design and testing as well as on the design of digital integrated circuits. Since 2000, he was responsible for the further development of the measurement instruments division and digital components. In 2007 he became a deputy member of the executive board of SHF.
Starting in 2008, he is a regular member of the executive board and acts as the COO, being responsible for the above mentioned areas.
In addition to the listed individual duties, both members of the board are jointly responsible for the areas strategy, mergers and acquisitions, research and development as well as human resources.
