SHF Automation

SHF AG – Division Automation is specialized in the development and production of high reliability computer cards, modules and devices. Founded as EAC in 1988, the Division was acquired by SHF Communication Technologies AG in 2002.

The devices and assembly systems which are developed and produced by the Automation division are used in ship, rail, rolling-mills and other industrial areas. The main product lines are VME boards and modular process and machining automation systems.

Since 1996 the Automation Division is certified according the quality standard DIN EN ISO 9001.

For our customers, we developed a wide range of products. There are industrial PC, I/O components, control boards, field bus modules, complete racks, communication boards with optical fiber and a lot more. These electronic boards are used in a wide range of applications such as elevators for mining, special purpose machinery manufacture, control purposes in power plants, drive system and components, process visualization, signal monitoring at rail tracks and industrial PC in aircraft test systems.

Our high motivated, flexible and well educated engineering team takes care of the individual support service for our customers. We take our time to listen carefully to the requirements of the customer and will find a well fitting solution for any application.

Since many years we are supplying electronics proofed for operation in harsh environment and various industrial areas. Some of our products work perfectly for more than 20 years. We still have them under support to minimize on site repair and expensive re-engineering costs due to failed parts.

In case of any system upgrades, very often using existing components is a key requirement. The majority of older modules have a bus-communication system which is not compatible to the up to date technologies. To resolve this issue, SHF develops communication boards to match existing with new parts, for example PEAB, Bitbus, PMB, Multibus, VME and more to Ethernet or PCI.
