PCI-VME-Coupler

PCI to VME Coupler with fast serial Link giving a transparent and direct access from a PC to a VME Rack. The VME address spaces are mapped to the PCI address space allowing access to the VME cards as if the PC was directly connected to the VME bus.

The VME card can replace CPU boards or communicate with other VME processor boards via a Dual-Port-RAM. It can also act as system controller with a full 4 level arbiter. VME Interrupts are passed to the PCI bus.

For maximum performance PCI write accesses are posted to the VME side with a FIFO capable of holding up to 128 accesses.


The PCI and VME cards are connected by a high speed PCI Express external cable with one lane (1x). Cables are available from 1 to 7 meters (3 to 22 feet), 3 meters (15 feet) is the standard length.

Drivers and application software is available for Linux and Windows XP® including source code.
