The VME4SSI is an converter for four absolute angle encoders with an SSI interface. The assembly contains the following functional elements:

  • 4 SSI Interfaces with clock generator and receiver
  • Gray/Dual Code Conversion
  • Potential separation between the channels and the VME bus, isolation voltage: 250 VAC
  • Indication and measurement opportunities for all channels
  • an external supply of the SSI interface isn't necessary
  • Synchronous scanning of all channels
  • VME Interface of Rev. C; A24/D16
  • Position addressing
  • Card recognition (card type, release, firmware version etc.)

Operating conditions

The assembly is designed for operating temperatures between 0...55°C with humidity class F. The standards (pr) EN50081-2 (radiation emission), (pr) EN50082-2 (radiation immunity) and IEC 801-2 are met according to the EMC regulations (89/336/EWG).
