SHF Communication Technologies AG, Berlin, is a microwave company founded in 1983 specialized in ultra broadband RF amplifier design (DC to > 65 GHz) and measurement equipment for optical communication, instrumentation and research.

SHF is the first company to commercially offer multiplexers and demultiplexers which operate at a data rate of more than 100 Gbps.

The product portfolio of SHF also meets the growing demand for ultra high speed opto electronic equipment by offering pulse pattern generators and error analyzers operating at over 50 Gbps, optical receivers and modulator drivers for 50 Gbps systems as well as optical transmitters and passive sub millimeter wave components.

High reliability custom designs with a very long lifetime (800 Fits) have been manufactured for the communication terminal equipment of the Trans-Atlantic Telephone TAT-12 and other submarine optical fiber links. SHF delivers system components for OC-768 40 Gbps data transmission.

In December 1996 the company received the certification for the European qualification standard ISO 9001.

Since December 2002 the SHF Automation department develops and produces extremely reliable computers used in ship, railroad, rolling mill and machine control.
